What is a pre-order and why is the book being sold this way?

A pre-order is an order placed for an item that has not yet been released. In the case of Depth of Field: The Aga Khan Beyond the Lens, the book is expected to be published in the coming months and special arrangements have been made for the Jamat to pre-order to guarantee your copy.

When will I receive my order?

An exact timeline on receiving orders has yet to be confirmed but we are expecting orders will be fulfilled by the beginning of 2022. All updates will be sent via email periodically with order status.

How long will the pre-order period last?

The pre-order period will end on 31 August, after which we will no longer be offering free shipping.

Can I order the book after the pre-order period?

Yes, the book will become available for purchase again after the pre-order period has concluded, however, the free shipping promotion will no longer be available.

How will shipping costs be calculated after the pre-order sale is over?

The books will be printed in and shipped from Europe and therefore shipping will be calculated according to distance, along with the weight and dimensions of the order, and local shipping carrier charges.

What happens if my address changes in the upcoming months?

Please email shop@the.ismaili if your address changes after placing your pre-order but before receiving your order. All address updates must be submitted prior to receiving a notification that your order has been shipped. Once your order has been shipped, the address cannot be changed.

Will I receive updates throughout the process?

Yes. After placing your order, you will receive a confirmation that your order has been received. You will receive another confirmation once your order has been packaged and shipped.

I don’t see my country as an option for shipping. What should I do?

If you would like to request that items be shipped to a country not listed, please email shop@the.ismaili.

Will I be charged customs duty?

You may be charged customs duty depending on the country you are shipping to and the order total.

Can I place a bulk order?

If you would like to place a bulk order, please contact shop@the.ismaili.

Can I cancel or amend my order after it has been placed?

Unfortunately we are not able to cancel or amend orders once they have been placed.

When will I be charged for my order?

You will be charged for your order immediately upon placing it.

I haven’t received a confirmation email for my order. What should I do?

You should receive your order confirmation within 30 minutes of ordering. You may need to check your spam or junk folders. If you still haven't received your order confirmation, please contact us at shop@the.ismaili.

What payment methods can I use?

We accept all major credit and debit cards as well as PayPal and Google Pay.

What happened to the Diamond Jubilee Memorabilia?

The Diamond Jubilee Memorabilia is not currently available but may become available again in the future.
